高速417でカナタ方面へ、そして416号でキングストンを経由して、４０１号線に乗り、トロントへ

トイレ休憩のため、立ち寄ったサービスエリアで見つけたアーケイドゲーム。

よく見ると日本語の説明パネルがありました。なんだか懐かしい。

11：00ごろトロントに到着。NCタワーが見えてくると、トロントに着いた実感がします。

ダウンタウンを抜けて、今回の目的のひとつである桜の花見。
トロントで有名な花見スポットHigh Park へ

入り口付近で咲いていた桜です。残念ながら、桜は散り始めていました。

公園内にある無料動物園を抜けてところに桜並木があります。

残念ながら、この動物園は資金難のため閉園を余儀なくされ、継続のため寄付金を募っていました。
そんなことを知らないであろうカピバラ。

そして今朝生まれたばかりのヤク。

動物園を抜け、しばらく歩くと桜並木があります。
こちらも残念ながら、散り始めていました。

その他の敷地内も新緑でとてもきれいです。

ランチタイムはトロントで有名な観光スポットでもあるセントローレンスマーケットへ。

オタワのバイワードマーケットの軽く十倍の大きさはあるでしょう。それにしても食材が安い。

マーケット内の角にあるシーフードのお店で、

イカリングとサラダを注文。このイカリングはとても柔らかく美味。値段は全部で９ドルくらいです。

北マーケットでは、地元の農家が持ち寄ったファーマーズマーケットが開かれていました。

マーケットから徒歩でシェラトンホテルへ向かいます
途中、きれいなチューリップが咲いていました。

そして路面電車。

トロントのメインどおりYonge　STを抜けて

シェラトンホテルに到着。

2階にあがり、今回トロントに来た目的であるトロント10Kのゼッケンを受け取りました。
妻は明日、10キロマラソンに挑戦します。

入り口は、普通の民家で看板もないため、見つけるのがちょっと大変でした。

部屋は清潔で非常に快適。無料Wifiも完備で、しかも車も前のとおりに駐車チケットを車に貼って停められます。駐車と無料wifiがついて、しかも美味しい朝食付き、そしてダウンタウンはすべて徒歩でいけるロケーション。しかもオーナが非常に親切な方で、料金は100カナダドルちょっと。これはおススメでしょう。
ホテルに飽きた方に特におススメです。

夕食まで時間があったので、ダウンタウンを散歩。
途中で見つけたへんてこな建物。らばQ　http://labaq.com/archives/51458388.html　で以前見つけて、トロントに来たときは絶対見ようと決めていました。
